I've known since forever that I had some photos of the Argonne Rebels hiding somewhere in my home. I have a number that my father shot before he died in 1972. Most of my shots are from 1974 and perhaps 1975. In 1974 I had just graduated from high school. I chose to not march that year.

My decision had nothing to do with the Opie's retirement from our corps. Instead, I had received an offer to  take a fantastic trip to Europe with other teens around the nation affiliated with our church. When I returned home in late June I headed straight for the corps field with my camera. I've not found all my photos yet and it will be some time before I get them all scanned from the negatives and in a presentable fashion. But, I did find one shot that was technically not a good photo but it does convey some of the madness and energy from the 1974 snare line. I've manipulated it a bit but post it here for your comment.
