For two weeks now I've been using the walker for more than transfers. We've been trudging across the open floor for ever increasing lengths. Obviously great care is being exercised with a therapist positioned in front of me using his hands to prevent me from falling should I lose control of my knees. Since this usually happens two or three times during a walking session it is a very good thing. Click "Read More" to see the videos.

In these videos you'll see me on the walker and Eric, a therapist at Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and Associates, protecting me from the front and Jeff, another therapist, keeping the wheel chair close behind in the event of fatigue or an accident. Trudy is running the video.

Today we took four walks that in total covered 50 feet, give or take a foot.

Today we took four walks that in total covered 50 feet, give or take a foot. By far, the best walk was the fourth which we did not get video of. In that walk we covered about 15 feet in 10 or 11 steps. The total length was about 15 feet further than I've been able to go in four walks before.
