Several Scriptures have been suggested as representative of our Spice of Life Sunday School class.  I'm posting those here that have been suggested so far plus a few others. Lets look at them and if you have others you'd like to have considered, please add them in a comment below. If desired we can add others and have another poll.

We will select one or two favorite verses for the class and they will be framed and hung on the walls of our class room.

  1. For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 (Living Bible)
  2. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)
  3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
  4. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvatoin; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Psalms 51:10-12 (KJV)
  5. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
  6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everthing, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philipians 4:6-7 (NIV)
  7. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philipians 4:13 (KJV)
  8. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV)
  9. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Rhonda Stretch: Important person
The list of scriptures are all great. If it's not too late, I want to add one more for consideration.

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

This scripture speaks a lot to me. God knows my heart and I want Him to be pleased with it. I know I fail at times but the next phrase of the scripture is what anchors me. Our Lord is my ROCK (to lean on) and my REDEEMER (I thank Him for grace).
